Bring it on!

Honestly, I'm happy 2010 is over. It's a decade that had a lot of ups and downs. There was a breakup of a important relationship and the death of a best friend's son and some financial stresses that I could have done without. However, I am still here, alive and kicking and doing the best I can. Yes, when faced with these serious issues, I could have easily fallen into a permanent funk. Could have stayed in the depth of depression. Could have played the victim card to death. But I didn't. Why? Because I saw it was not helping the situations I was faced with.

When faced with problems, it is so important to be proceed forward and deal with the challenges with grace and faith. I'm not saying you should pretend everything is fine and dandy when it's not. I'm not saying you should ignore problems and not be proactive. I'm saying that you can deal with the challenges of life by saying to yourself "all is going to be well again." You have to believe it too. By creating a better mental environment, you can create better circumstances. It truly works. Like my song "Tonight" says in the one of the verses, "lose the attitude, get some gratitude tonight."

New Year's Eve...

Another year has embarked upon us. My own New Year's Eve was special. Hope yours was too! I ended up going what I did last year, playing a gig. As much as I wanted to be with my family and friends to celebrate a new year, our music career had other plans. We started a bit later than we wanted too because it was wall to wall people, sitting and standing and therefore no room for us to set up . Finally, we were able to get into position to perform and as always, it was fun, fun, fun. We did some new covers, which people danced too and seemed to enjoy as well.

Wishing you all a fantastic, fun-filled, faith-filled holiday! Enjoy! : )
