Performing at Long Island Fall Festival

Last Saturday was a memorable weekend in terms of playing out. I was able to perform with a full band at the 17th Annual Long Island Fall Festival in Huntington, NY. The weather was warm and sunny so the event itself was a huge success. It was incredible experience playing on the Harry Chapin Rainbow Stage with my guitarist Brian Unger, keyboardist, Andy M., drummer Christie DeFeo and bassist Jack Knight. I sold quite a few cds, which to me, is frosting on the cake. Playing with quality band members of high caliber made the performance go as smooth as silk. As a musician, you learn quickly that when it comes to performing, you're only as good as the musicians you surround yourself with. IF they're not highly qualified, professional and have a good ear and attitude, than your sound is going to suffer. Same with life. If you don't surround yourself with positive people than you're attitude is going to be affected too. You have one shot to make it right. So choose carefully. It can make a big difference in your life. Enjoy the fall weather!
