So happy spring is here!

Yes, we can finally come out of hibernation and enjoy the warmth, the sun and the blooming flowers. I love spring and summer so much. People seem to be happier and friendlier when the temp gets above 50 degrees on a regular basis. Don't you think? It also makes a difference that we spring ahead as we get to enjoy more of the daylight and who doesn't like that?

I've been working hard at getting new gigs. Work, work, work...but it's paying off. Brian and I will be playing one of my favorite wineries in Long Island in May. I'm thrilled about that particular gig because the vineyards are a wonderful, feel-good, place to be. Check out my website for more info.

In the meantime, keep your head above water and smile. It looks good on you!

The Road Less Traveled

Today we had a taste of spring. It was sunny and 60 degrees. That's good for me. I don't think we had a horrible winter but I am looking forward to spring and summer. I was driving around with the top down in my convertible and just have this feeling that I really wished that I could be driving on a different road to a destination I had never been before. I felt like I wanted to just "get lost" in a surprise journey to somewhere totally different. I've been feeling like I need a change lately. What's up with that? Am I just bored by the same 'ol, same 'ol? I guess part of it is that part of me wants to see a different part of the world before I get old and can't enjoy it. As beautiful as it is, I'm feeling "sheltered" living in Long Island. I drive the same old streets, the same roads and parkways. I am feeling like I need to tap into my sense of adventure before I lose my senses to senility.
